John Paris Jr., Head Coach and General Manager, was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia and his hockey career began when recruited by Scotty Bowman and the Montreal Canadians organization in the early sixties as a junior player. Over 35 years of hockey experience as a coach, general manager, scout, personal trainer, teacher and keynote speaker, 

John has guided his teams to numerous championships, including the prestigious Air Canada Cup Emblem of Canadian supremacy at Midget AAA level, Under 17 Esso Cup, Turner Cup IHL - Atlanta Knights (Tampa Bay Lightning top affiliate team). John was a member as Head Coach/GM within the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.  AHL.

John has coached and helped prepare 12 first round NHL draft picks was named coach of the year on Five (5) occasions and numerous all-star nominations. He has held the position of recruiter for the NHL St.Louis Blues. Was instrumental in building the Nashville Knights (ECHL) later replaced by the NHL Nashville Predator team, and Macon Whoopee (CHL). He was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 and holds the distinction of being the first black Head Coach/GM in the history of Midget AAA, junior and/or professional hockey.

John holds a master in Sports Psychology, My Specialties and Proficiencies, Cognitive & Behavioral Skills Training for Improved Performance Enhancement, Specializations in Human Behavioural Patterns, Diversity Training, Substance Abuse, Employee/Employer relations (sexual harassment) Team Building - Mental Conditioning. He holds a level four USA hockey coaching certificate and an 11 Advanced (5) Canadian Coaching Certificate.

He has attended courses at a multiple Universities, including Sir Georges Williams, York, Toronto, Saskatoon, Calgary, Montreal, Peps, McGill, Windsor, Acadia, UBC, San Jose, London etc.

John was close to the late Roger Neilson who coached in Philadelphia, Buffalo, Florida, New York Rangers &, & with Toronto Maple Leafs during his career.
Attended seminars with EJ MCquire, Director of NHL Central scouting, Mike Babcock of the Red Wings &  many other fellow students of the game. Had his European experience with FQHQ  in the 1980’s, and has always stayed involved over the years to maintain the  international experience combined with the NHL intent, which he now applies when teaching youths or aspiring NHL’ers.
